Professional Quantity Surveyor (Pr.QS)

A leading consulting environment in Stellenbosch is seeking a motivated and experienced Professional Quantity Surveyor (Pr.QS) to join its built environment team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive cost management and commercial support across a range of projects from inception to final account. This includes cost planning, procurement, contract administration, financial reporting, and client advisory services within a multidisciplinary project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets
- Develop Bills of Quantities and tender documentation
- Conduct tender adjudications and financial evaluations
- Manage project cost reporting, valuations, and cash flow forecasts
- Prepare and negotiate final accounts
- Evaluate contractual claims and variations
- Participate in project planning and client meetings
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to project teams
- Liaise with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- BSc or BTech Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Professional registration as a Pr.QS
Experience
- Minimum 4–5 years relevant experience
- Experience in consulting, construction, or infrastructure environments
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in WINQS and DIMX
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Valid driver’s licence
