Senior Health and Safety Representative (Construction-Buildings) - Pretoria - Market Related A senior opportunity for a qualified professional to oversee health and safety standards on construction building projects. The Role: Senior Health and Safety Representative (Construction-Buildings). The purpose of this role is to serve as a Senior Health and Safety Representative within the construction sector. The position focuses on implementing health and safety standards, utilizing leadership, communication, administrative, and reporting skills to manage site safety and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Health and Safety role within the construction industry. Apply strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Regulations to site operations. Lead and communicate safety protocols effectively using strong leadership and communication skills. Conduct incident investigations and perform risk assessments based on specialized training. Manage administrative tasks and generate reports using required reporting skills. Utilize computer literacy skills, including exposure to or experience with biometric clocking systems. About You Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Health and Safety role within the construction industry. Registered with SACPCMP as a Construction Health and Safety Officer (CHSO) or higher. National Diploma or relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, Environmental Health, or a related field. Valid Health and Safety Representative training certificate, Incident Investigation certificate, and Risk Assessment training. Fluent in English and Afrikaans. Possession of own transport, which is essential for this role. Strong leadership, communication, administrative, and reporting skills alongside essential computer literacy. Fluency in additional ethnic languages is advantageous.
