Role Summary
To ensure optimal utilisation of the fleet by managing all operational aspects of the fleet.
Job Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Manage operational aspects of Rental fleet (SZA and SFZ)
- Daily updating of the Rental Registers (SZA and SFZ)
- To monitor the Optimum Replacement period of each truck with the HOR
- Monitor and manage FMS and Tracking units
- Manage Check-in and Check-out process
- Book trucks in to the workshop for 1 hour checks, services, PDI, ect. on return from customers or for PDI.
- Regular follow ups with workshop on progress of trucks going through the workshop.
- Manage vehicle registrations and licence renewals
- Raise orders for but not limited to, license fees, driver hire, tyres, fifth wheels, hydraulics, franchise workshops, COF’s, ect.
- Liaise with logistics for the movement of vehicles when necessary
- Be available for phone calls from Scania Assist or Hollard Call Centre
- Assist Sales Reps with the sales process when necessary i.e. Credit Applications; Outstanding documents; Follow up on Expired contracts; Re-newels
- Assist walk-in/telephonic customers with queries regarding the Rentals Process
- Maintaining good customer relationships in line with our core values
Candidates Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Current driving licence (heavy vehicle licence preferred).
- Minimum 3 years working experience in a Truck Rental / Commercial Vehicle environment or costing
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office particularly excel (formulas, v lookup and pivot tables)
- In-house System and product knowledge (Automaster, Fleetmaster & Sharepoint)
