An established player in the food and agricultural sector is seeking a hands-on, detail-driven Cost Accountant to join their operational finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a solution-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about driving efficiency and system improvements.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities Full responsibility for costing across operations , including accurate product costing and margin analysis Management and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Work-in-Progress (WIP) Detailed tracking and analysis of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) Identify and implement process efficiencies and cost-saving initiatives Continuous improvement of systems and reporting tools within the finance function Work closely with operations to provide insights and support decision-making Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Requirements Proven experience in a Cost Accountant / Management Accountant role within food, FMCG, or agri environments Strong working knowledge of BOMs, WIP, and COGS Demonstrated ability to drive efficiencies and system improvements Highly analytical, logical thinker with strong problem-solving ability Hands-on approach and comfortable working on the ground with operations Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure Relevant finance qualification (CIMA / BCom or similar advantageous) Own reliable transport is essential Why Join?
