Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for an experienced Regional Marketing Director who can lead brand growth, drive consumer demand and build market share across Southern Africa. You will bring: 8+ years' FMCG marketing experience Minimum 5 years in a senior marketing leadership role Experience managing brands across multiple countries or regions Proven success launching and scaling FMCG or beverage brands Strong experience in both formal and informal retail channels A track record of delivering measurable revenue and market share growth Experience leading high-performing marketing teams Strong commercial and financial acumen Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills A passion for consumer insight, innovation and brand building You will Be: Strategic yet hands-on Commercially minded Consumer obsessed Data-driven Innovative and entrepreneurial Results-oriented Adaptable and resilient Collaborative and influential What Will You Do? Marketing & Brand Leadership Develop and execute the regional marketing strategy Lead brand positioning and brand architecture across the portfolio Drive brand awareness, consideration and consumer preference Protect and strengthen brand equity across all markets Manage brand identity, packaging and communications guidelines Consumer & Shopper Marketing Lead consumer segmentation and persona development Build consumer journey and engagement strategies Drive shopper marketing initiatives across multiple channels Develop impactful point-of-sale and in-store activation programmes Improve trial, repeat purchase and consumer loyalty Digital & Social Marketing Own digital, social media and content strategies Lead influencer and creator partnerships Develop CRM, loyalty and retention programmes Implement social listening and consumer feedback programmes Use insights to optimise campaigns and improve performance Innovation & New Product Development Lead the NPD pipeline from concept through to launch Identify new market and product opportunities Conduct consumer testing and product validation Develop launch strategies and go-to-market plans Manage portfolio performance and SKU optimisation Commercial Growth & Route to Market Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to drive growth Develop pricing and promotional strategies Expand distribution across formal and informal channels Increase penetration within township and spaza markets Strengthen distributor and retailer partnerships Improve availability, visibility and execution in market Performance, Reporting & Leadership Establish and monitor marketing KPIs Manage budgets and optimise marketing ROI Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews Build and develop a high-performing marketing team Manage agency and supplier relationships Ensure compliance and governance across all marketing activities What Will You Need? Experience FMCG marketing leadership experience Multi-country or regional marketing experience Experience building and growing consumer brands Strong understanding of shopper and trade marketing Experience leading integrated ATL, BTL and digital campaigns NPD and innovation experience Experience managing marketing budgets and ROI Exposure to township, informal trade and emerging market environments Skills Strategic marketing and brand development Consumer and shopper insight expertise Digital and social media marketing Commercial and financial management Data analysis and performance measurement Stakeholder engagement and influence Team leadership and people development Project management and execution excellence Qualifications Degree in Marketing, Commerce, Business or related field MBA or postgraduate qualification advantageous Digital marketing or analytics certifications advantageous
