The purpose of this position is to manage and coordinate milk procurement logistics activities within the Eastern Cape, ensuring efficient collection, transportation, and supply of milk in line with operational requirements, quality standards, and business objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
- Relevant experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level.
- People management experience.
- Business English: Fluent.
- Computer literacy (Intermediate).
- Valid Drivers Licence.
- Ability to Work shifts/weekends/public holidays.
- Prior experience in working closely with senior management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage milk collection operations
o Manage route compliance
o Manage tanker turnaround time at factories
o Track and manage OTIF
o Control milk variances
o Complete administration
o Manage on-farm milk spillages and vehicle breakdowns
- Manage Cross Border transport
o Manage State Vet compliance
o Complete and distribute cross border permits and documents
o Order transport aligned with daily planning
o Oversee vehicle and driver compliance
o Balancing and recons of milk with Botswana and Clayville
- Manage milk quality
o Conduct tanker compliance Audits
o Audit on farm SOP compliance (Transport Service Providers)
o Analyse and rectify Collection Sample handling by external suppliers
o Manage cip compliance internal and external
o Do QNON RCI's
- Manage Milk reception
o Oversee turnaround times
o Investigate exceptions and QNON
o Support MR management
o Manage cross border loading execution
- Manage admin process
o Balance milk (Internal & External)
o Compile reports
o Schedule routes (Internal & External)
o Support data capturing and data management (Stand in)
o Manage external suppliers (Transporters & Milk suppliers)
- Producer Services
o Communication iro on-farm admin and processes
o Communication iro collection route execution and exceptions
o Manage on-farm milk spillages and vehicle breakdowns
o Audit on-farm processes and SOP compliance by external transporters
- Financial administration
o Manage petty cash
o Manage permit purchases
o Recon Cross Border permit costs
o ERPLX: Update, maintain and processing of documents
- Manage employees
- As prescribed HR system
