Role Purpose
To effectively contribute to the Specialised Admin Team by ensuring that all claim payments are scheduled accurately and according to the process.
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy is essential
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance or a related field is advantageous
- Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience within a medical scheme administration environment is essential
- Sound understanding of basic financial principles and processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications is essential
Duties & Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate claim payments for multiple clients.
- Generate, review and implement various operational reports.
- Generate, review and send claim statements and remittances for multiple clients.
- Ensure all tasks and deliverables are completed within established deadlines.
- Liaise with the Finance Team to facilitate the submission of reports required for claim payment processing.
- Perform routine quality assurance and validation checks to ensure data accuracy and process integrity.
- Capture and maintain system references on the administration platform.
- Coordinate with external mailing service providers regarding the distribution of remittance documentation.
- Process returned cheques on the administration system in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide administrative and operational support across various functions within the team as required.
