Minimum Qualifications

  • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent)

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
  • Clear credit record.
  • Clear security screening record.
  • Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an administrative position, experience with the specific business area advantageous
  • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent)

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Level 5: Higher Certificates and Advanced National Cert Higher Certificates and Advanced National Vocational Certificates Business, Commerce and Management Studies

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative
  • Achieves quality and quantity outputs through the utilization of Human Resources by effective planning, adhering to time frames, writing and submitting reports, performing investigations.
  • Generates, compiles and submits reports and statistics when required by Management.
  • Adheres to Human Resources practices by ensuring that practices are applied according to Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure work assessments are done according to standards and procedures
  • Coach employees according to Standards and Procedures by identifying adverse practices and assisting and advising when necessary, based on knowledge and experience.
  • Performs any other activities necessary for the effective completion of his/her work.
  • Business/Operational
  • Employee relations, staffing as well as recruitment, selection and placement
  • Compile weekly, monthly and quarterly reports Page 2 of 5
  • Update and maintain data on Symplexity and Human Resources access data base and generate relevant reports when required
  • Maintain effective overtime control processed
  • Maintain document control and record keeping
  • Ensure efficient attendance management processes
  • Ensure Sox compliance and adherence to T&A standards
  • Stakeholder Relations
  • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and crossfunctionally.
  • Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Sourcing, contracting and negotiating with service providers.
  • Liaising with the necessary entities on any environmental management related requirements and alignment where applicable.
  • Collaborating with external service providers regarding the design and implementation of tools to enhance processes.
  • Financial Management
  • Managing the finances of the Division to achieve Organisational objectives. Cost Savings:
  • Leading and driving cost saving and cash conservation initiatives.
  • Remaining competitive on the global cost curve for surface operations.
  • Building a values-based organisational culture
  • Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment.
  • ESG Compliance
  • Align to international responsible mining principles.
  • SA Gold Operations: Align to World Gold Council (WGC) Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs).
  • SA PGM Operations: Enhance Together for Sustainability (eTfS) initiative.
  • US PGM Operations: Enhance together for ICCM principles.
  • SHE Compliance
  • Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment.
  • Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. SHE Management:
  • Instil a culture of SHE leadership within the department.
  • Participate in regional/local bodies and decision-making forums in the process developing a business relevant external environment, that will result in the longer-term sustainability of the Division. Quality Management System (QMS): Page 3 of 5

Additional Requirements

  • NQF 5 (Diploma or Higher Certificate) or NQF 6 (National Diploma or an Advanced Certificate) in a related field will be advantageous
