Accountant to protect their financial integrity, lead a motivated Finance team, and collaborate directly with operations to drive profitability.

POSITION INFO

The Person: B.Com Accounting or related Finance Degree. A Professional registration, preferred. Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role. SAGE 300 and Opera system experience, a strong advantage. The Job: Assist operations management to reduce costs and improve profit by closely analysing and reporting financial data, in particular deviations from budget. Maintain accurate records of company accounts strictly in line with legal and unit office requirements. Effectively co-ordinate audits and take prompt corrective action where required. Ensure the smooth and accurate processing of: creditors payments; additions and disposal of assets; rental invoices and debtors; and accommodation and related transactions. Ensure that the fixed asset register correctly reflects the company assets. Accurate computation and submission of VAT returns. Build a competent and motivated team of Accounting staff. Ensure strict compliance with all accounting-relevant company policies & procedures. Keep up to date with all relevant changes in tax and accounting regulations. Submit accurate statutory returns by deadline. Work as part of a team or individually to deliver high quality standards consistently and accurately.
