SUMMARY

Our client, in ICT infrastructure & distribution, requires a commercially focused

Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with responsibility for the organisation's financial integrity and operational performance. The role requires leadership across across key operational areas, to ensure strong cash management, efficient working capital utilisation, and the creation of an environment that supports profitable growth. The position requires a highly visible executive who is actively involved in driving business performance rather than operating solely as a functional finance head.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities: Finance Own full finance: reporting, controls, statutory and management accounts, audit and tax. Lead working capital and cash flow planning, forecasting and active management. Design and run customer credit models and credit risk frameworks. Negotiate supplier terms to optimise cash and total cost. Drive optimal stock and inventory levels balancing service and cash. Develop annual budgets and manage expenditure against them. Supply Chain Lead procurement, warehousing and inbound / outbound logistics. Optimise stock holding, supplier performance and cost. Ensure supply continuity that supports sales commitments. Commercial Align operations and finance to enable and accelerate sales. Partner with the sales function on pricing, terms and profitability. IT & Digital Lead IT, digitisation and digital transformation. Drive system optimisation and the strategy behind it. Ensure system reliability and security. Legal & Compliance Oversee legal compliance, contractual obligations and contract reviews. Manage risk and governance across the operation. People Lead HR and IR across the division. Maintain the organogram, job descriptions, KPIs and performance management. Build morale, coach, train and develop the team. Branches & Ops Guide branch operations teams to perform against strategy and their job descriptions. Ensure timely, accurate communication across all departments so the business runs in real time. Stand in for any direct report during absence and run their function hands on. The CFO is accountable for: Creating a culture of performance, innovation, and collaboration within the growth-focused functions of the organization. Contribute to strategy development with the executive team and cascade it so every team member understands their share of delivery. Drive coordination and cooperation across teams for efficiency and cost effectiveness. Drive back-office processes that enables and supports sales strategies. Direct reports: Group Financial Manager Procurement Manager HR Group IT Manager Branch Operations Key Requirements: CA (SA) Senior finance leadership experience in a distribution, supply chain or operationally intensive business. Demonstrable results in working capital, cash and credit management. Experience leading functions beyond finance (IT, HR, legal, supply chain) an advantage.
