SUMMARY

An innovative and fast-growing supplier of water treatment technology is seeking a Sales Associate to drive the growth of its product and chemical sales portfolio across the mining, industrial, agricultural, and water treatment sectors. The successful candidate will focus on developing long-term customer relationships, generating recurring revenue streams, and identifying opportunities to expand chemical and equipment sales within existing and new customer accounts.

Minimum requirements for the role: Must have a National Senior Certificate Minimum 2-5 years' experience in product sales, chemical sales, industrial sales, technical sales, or a related commercial environment Experience within mining, water treatment, industrial processing, environmental services, or chemical industries would be advantageous Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing customer relationships Strong negotiation, closing, and business development skills Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities Good understanding of technical products and the ability to communicate product benefits effectively Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and sales opportunities simultaneously Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM or sales management systems Must have a valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle The successful candidate will be responsible for: Promoting and selling water treatment equipment, including UV systems, dosing systems, filtration equipment, and related products. Marketing and selling water treatment chemicals and mining-related chemical solutions to a diverse customer base. Identifying opportunities to increase product utilisation and chemical consumption within existing customer accounts. Providing customers with product recommendations and technical guidance to support their operational requirements. Developing a strong understanding of product and chemical offering to effectively position solutions within target markets. Responding to customer enquiries professionally and efficiently, ensuring high levels of customer service. Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships. Conducting regular customer engagement activities to identify opportunities for growth and increased product adoption. Identifying and executing upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the product portfolio. Ensuring customer satisfaction by coordinating effectively with internal teams to resolve queries and support product delivery. Identifying and developing new business opportunities within mining, industrial, agricultural, and water treatment sectors. Generating, qualifying, and following up on leads to convert opportunities into sustainable revenue streams. Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline to support monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives. Developing market intelligence and identifying emerging trends, opportunities, and customer needs. Supporting the growth of recurring chemical supply agreements and long-term service contracts. Preparing accurate quotations and processing customer orders efficiently. Maintaining detailed customer records, sales activities, and pipeline information within company systems. Coordinating with operations and logistics teams to ensure successful order fulfilment and delivery. Providing regular sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates to management. Ensuring all sales administration is completed accurately and within required timeframes.
