OVERVIEW

We are seeking a caring and committed Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing quality assistance and companionship to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and overall well-being.

The ideal candidate will possess basic clinical skills, patience, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of every resident we serve.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications (Required)

• Grade 12 / matriculation
• Min. 1 year Higher Certificate in Nursing issued by Umalusi
• SANC registration as an Auxiliary Nurse

Experience, Knowledge and Additional Requirements

• Min 3 years’ experience as a Nursing Assistant
• Min. 2 years prior experience in elderly care is essential.
• 2 years knowledge and experience of Dementia care, Frail care, and Palliative care is advantageous.
• 1 Year Hospital experience is advantageous.
• Candidate should have no physical restrictions or injuries and must be able to lift and position patients.
• Willing and able to work shifts.
• South African citizen

Core Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Provide elementary clinical care under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Executing nursing care plan (under supervision of the EN/RN) for the residents including monitoring of vital signs and other observations.
• Performs specialised treatment such as basic wound care and suctioning.
• Prepares and maintains a variety of pertinent records reflecting Residents condition, medication and treatment, and other records required.
