A global company based in Ballito is seeking an experienced

Junior Data Analyst to provide actionable commercial insights that support decision-making across Sales, Pricing, and Executive Leadership.

The role requires strong analytical skills and commercial acumen to improve forecasting accuracy, pricing governance, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.

POSITION INFO

Key tasks and Responsibilities: Data Management & Analytics: Source, consolidate, clean, and validate data from accounting systems, SharePoint, Semantic Models and Excel-based data sources to ensure high data integrity and reporting accuracy. Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, anomalies, margin risks, and performance patterns. Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and automated reports using Excel. Maintain data models to support forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking. Automate recurring reports and data processes, significantly reducing manual effort and reporting turnaround time. Develop KPIs, sales targets, budgets, and performance scorecards aligned to business objectives. Ensure consistent metric definitions and governance across sales and business reporting. Reporting on Sales Division performance. Pricing: Maintain customer price books - Fuel and Lubricants. Manage monthly price adjustments and maintain pricing accuracy across systems. Liaise with sales teams to resolve pricing discrepancies and manage spot price variances. Business Development & Strategic Support: Assist in tender submissions and new business development initiatives. Compile client-facing communication information. Provide analytical and presentation support. Deliver data-driven insights to support growth strategies and margin optimisation.
