Introduction
To assume operational accountability for the sales growth, development and success of the Franchisee network.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Management, control and development of the brands National Operations teams
- Spending time within restaurants driving sales with franchise partners on a daily, weekly and monthly basis with the support of Ops teams
- Development and implementation of annual Operations plans and campaigns which align with overall brand business plans
- Assist with setting and building Brand Plans and driving innovation and differentiation within all Fun Dining brands with the marketing teams
- Preparation and management of annual turnover and operating budgets.
- Accountable for the recruitment and selection of all franchise partners.
- Responsible for the achievement of national operational standards.
- Develop and implement all standard operational processes, e.g., Ops Manuals, Labour compliance, etc.
- Implementation of all National, regional and locality marketing programs in conjunction with the marketing team to drive positive LOL growth in restaurants
- Ability to identify and problem solve businesses in distress and guide them back to profitability
- Responsible for development and implementation of franchisee best operating practice financial benchmarks i.e. driving individual franchisee profitability
- Manage and resolve all customer queries and complaints
- Hosts, co-ordinates and attends regional and national Franchisee meetings and Ops visits
- Lead trade visits and be visible in restaurants during peak operating times across all Fun Dining brands
- Play a key role with regards to driving new store growth and identifying new opportunities
- Responsible for all new restaurant design briefs and execution to approved plans ensuring all operational and functional requirements of the brands are met and exceeded
- Managing and maintaining strong relationships with franchisees
- Negotiate and review all Franchise Agreements as well as landlord leases (new leases, renewals and any restructuring
- Review all new restaurant opportunities and appoint and build a pipeline of Franchise partner.
- Manage all store revamp/refresh programs in line with contractual arrangements with franchise partners.
- Assist as a key role player with all menu pricing and setting bi-annual menu pricing
Desired Experience & Qualification
Formal Education
Must be in possession of a suitable tertiary qualification, preferably a Bachelor's Degree.
Experience
- Must have a minimum of 10 plus years' previous Operation and restaurant operations management experience as well as experience in the leadership of a large and diverse team.
- Must have Restaurant Operations experience and preferably have worked in and managed restaurant Operations
Strong track record of success in the franchising and Restaurant Operations industry.
