Job Title: Construction General Worker
Job Summary:
A Construction General Worker is responsible for carrying out basic construction tasks such as loading materials, digging, cleaning work areas, and assisting builders, plumbers, electricians, or other tradespeople. The role requires physical strength, teamwork, and adherence to safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move construction materials
- Assist artisans, builders, and machine operators on site
- Dig trenches, mix concrete, and prepare work areas
- Use hand tools and basic power tools safely
- Clean and remove debris from construction sites
- Set up and dismantle scaffolding or temporary structures (if trained)
- Follow supervisor instructions and complete assigned tasks
- Maintain site cleanliness and safety standards
- Report hazards, damaged tools, or safety concerns
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Grade 10 / Grade 12 (often preferred)
- Previous construction experience is an advantage
- Physical fitness and stamina
- Ability to lift heavy materials
- Basic understanding of construction tools and safety
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to work outdoors in different weather conditions
