Job Summary:
A Delivery Driver collects and delivers goods while ensuring items arrive safely, accurately, and on schedule. The role includes route planning, vehicle inspections, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods or parcels for delivery
• Deliver items to customers or businesses on time
• Plan delivery routes using maps or GPS
• Verify delivery addresses and obtain customer signatures
• Inspect the vehicle before and after trips
• Keep delivery records, invoices, and proof of delivery
• Handle cash-on-delivery payments when required
• Report traffic delays, accidents, or vehicle problems
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic upkeep
• Follow road safety rules and company procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (Code 8, 10, or relevant license in South Africa)
• Valid PrDP (if required by employer)
• Good knowledge of local roads and routes
• Safe driving record
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Time management and reliability
• Ability to lift and carry packages
• Basic navigation or GPS skills

Working Conditions

• Mostly on the road
• Exposure to traffic and different weather conditions
• May require overtime, weekend, or shift work
