Van Assistant - Contractor Location: Durban, KwaZulu Natal -Westville Job Summary: We are seeking a professional Van Assistant to join our team in Durban- KwaZulu Natal - Westville on a contract basis. As a Van Assistant, you will report to the Operations department and assist with various tasks related to logistics and delivery. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with loading and offloading goods from delivery vehicles. Verify delivery quantities against invoices, delivery notes, or manifests. Help secure cargo to prevent damage during transportation. Accompany the driver on delivery routes and assist with navigation when required. Obtain customer signatures and proof of delivery documentation. Ensure products are delivered in good condition. Assist with the collection of returns and damaged goods. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle. Follow company safety procedures and customer service standards. Report delivery issues, shortages, damages, or customer concerns to the driver or supervisor. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Sectors: Logistics, Warehouse & Freight, FMCG Functions: Retail, Wholesale, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Dispatching & Receiving, Food & Beverage Qualifications: Grade 12 2 - 3 years experience in logistics and distribution Clean criminal record Good communication skills If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for logistics and delivery, we would love to hear from you.
