SUMMARY

Our client, a leading provider of advanced livestock reproductive technologies, elite genetics, and breeding solutions across Southern Africa is looking to appoint a Livestock Reproductive Veterinarian.

POSITION INFO

Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent veterinary qualification Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC) in good standing Valid drivers license and willingness to travel extensively Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans Perform Ovum Pick-Up (OPU) procedures Conduct Artificial Insemination (AI) programmes Perform reproductive ultrasound examinations and pregnancy diagnosis Conduct bull breeding soundness evaluation and fertility testing Perform semen collection and reproductive health assessments Provide herd health and reproductive management services Support IVF, embryo transfer, and advanced reproductive programmes Deliver professional veterinary and technical support to clients Maintain accurate programme records and reports Assist in training, development, and implementation of new reproductive technologies Represent company at client visits, industry events, and training programmes Travel extensively throughout South Africa and occasionally internationally
