Role Description
This is a full-time Financial Advisor role based in Alberton, structured as a hybrid position with a combination of on-site and work-from-home flexibility. The Financial Advisor will engage with a portfolio of clients to understand their financial goals, assess their current financial position, and develop tailored financial plans that address short-, medium-, and long-term needs. Daily activities include meeting clients in person or virtually, conducting financial needs analyses, recommending appropriate products and solutions, and providing guidance on investments, retirement planning, risk cover, and savings strategies. The role also involves ongoing client relationship management, regular portfolio reviews, and proactive communication to ensure clients stay on track with their financial objectives. In addition, the Financial Advisor will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, complying with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with internal teams to stay informed about product updates, market trends, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong financial planning and financial advisory skills, with the ability to conduct holistic financial needs analyses and develop tailored solutions.
- Solid understanding of finance and investments, including savings, risk products, and wealth-building strategies.
- Experience in retirement planning, with the ability to guide clients on long-term income, preservation, and estate considerations.
- Relevant formal qualification in Finance, Financial Planning, Economics, or a related field; a recognized financial planning designation (e.g., CFP or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Proven experience in a client-facing advisory or financial services role, with strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a pipeline of clients, and meet agreed performance and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of South African financial regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
- Proficiency with digital tools, CRM systems, and remote communication platforms to support hybrid working.
