This unique dual role requires maturity, adaptability, and proven managerial experience, with the partner stepping into operational oversight until a General Manager is appointed. The lodge prides itself on delivering an exceptional guest experience, making prior exposure to luxury lodge environments essential. Candidates must demonstrate refined hospitality skills, leadership presence, and the ability to thrive in a selective, high‑end setting. Core Criteria: Role 1: (Trails Guide) FGASA Level 2 or higher (Lead Trails Guide certification preferred) Valid PDP and driver's license Valid First Aid certification Firearm competency (ARH) where reserve regulations require Previous guiding experience in a luxury 5‑star lodge environment Strong guest hosting, interpretation, and safety management skills Ability to adapt guiding style to diverse guest needs, including wheelchair‑accessible safari Role 2: (Chef or Manager) Recognized chef qualification with proven fine‑dining experience in a 5‑star lodge OR Lodge management background with operational oversight across departments (F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance) Previous managerial experience in a luxury hospitality environment Strong financial acumen (budgeting, reporting, cost control) for management candidates Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate staff in a high‑pressure, remote environment Mature outlook (professional resilience and emotional intelligence) Candidate Responsibilities: (Trails Guide) Conduct guided drives and bush walks, ensuring guest safety and memorable experiences Deliver expert wildlife interpretation and conservation insights Host guests with warmth and professionalism, enhancing the lodge's premium reputation Support lodge operations when required (guest hosting, front‑of‑house assistance) Uphold safety standards and environmental responsibility Candidate Responsibilities: (Chef/Manager) Chef: Curate and deliver gourmet cuisine aligned with 5‑star standards; manage kitchen operations, menus, and dietary requirements; elevate the culinary experience as a core part of the lodge's luxury offering Manager: Oversee lodge operations across departments; manage guest relations; ensure seamless service delivery; monitor finances and reporting; uphold operational standards and staff performance Provide leadership presence, ensuring maturity, discretion, and guest satisfaction This is a live-in position
