Draughtsman Vacancy

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Draughtsman to join our team based in Amanzimtoti. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate 2D and 3D drawings and designs, supporting engineering and manufacturing requirements, and assisting with site-based measuring and design work when required.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare accurate 2D drawings and 3D designs in line with project and client requirements.

· Use AutoCAD and Inventor to create, modify, and update technical drawings.

· Take accurate measurements on job sites and translate them into detailed drawings.

· Assist with the design of jigs, tooling, and related engineering components where required.

· Work closely with engineers, production teams, and clients to ensure drawings meet specifications.

· Maintain drawing records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.

Minimum Requirements

· Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a Drawing/Draughting Diploma with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a draughting role or minimum of 10 years’ experience in a draughting role without a diploma

· Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor.

· Proven ability to produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings and designs.

· Strong measuring skills, including the ability to take accurate site measurements.

· Good communication skills and the ability to work well with internal teams, suppliers and clients.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

· Healthy and able-bodied, with the ability and willingness to work on job sites when required.

Advantageous Experience

Experience in the design of jigs and tooling will be advantageous.
