With ambitious growth plans and a first-to-market offering, the business is expanding its sales team and seeking high-performing Business Development Executives to drive market penetration across South Africa.

Position Overview

This is a pure new business sales role focused on introducing an innovative energy storage solution to the commercial and industrial market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building relationships with senior decision-makers, and closing high-value transactions.

This role is ideally suited to a driven, entrepreneurial sales professional who enjoys hunting for new business, opening doors, and generating substantial commission earnings.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities Identify and secure new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial sectors Build relationships with CEOs, CFOs, Operations Directors, Facility Managers, and business owners Generate and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities Conduct client meetings, presentations, and solution discussions Understand client requirements and present tailored energy-saving solutions Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle from prospecting to close Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline reporting Represent the business professionally within the market Target Markets The successful candidate will engage with clients across sectors including: Manufacturing FMCG Food Processing Cold Storage Facilities Shopping Centres Data Centres Warehousing & Logistics Mining Large Commercial and Industrial Operations Minimum Requirements Proven track record in new business development or solution sales Experience selling high-value B2B products or services Strong ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers Demonstrated success in generating and closing new business opportunities Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Strong commercial acumen Valid driver's licence Own reliable vehicle Willingness to travel to client sites across Gauteng and occasionally nationally Highly Advantageous Experience Candidates with experience in any of the following sectors will be highly regarded: Renewable Energy Commercial Solar Solutions Energy Efficiency Solutions Industrial Equipment Capital Equipment Engineering Services Infrastructure Solutions Facilities Management Telecommunications Technical Solution Sales Personal Attributes Strong hunter mentality with a passion for winning new business Highly energetic and commercially driven Confident engaging with CEOs, CFOs, business owners, and senior executives Relationship-focused with excellent networking ability Self-motivated and performance-oriented Entrepreneurial mindset Resilient and competitive Comfortable working independently and managing their own pipeline Able to balance consultative selling with strong closing ability Professional, credible, and results-focused Remuneration The business offers flexible remuneration structures designed to suit different levels of sales experience and risk appetite.
