Contracting Manager

We are looking for a Contracting Manager who will play a key role in shaping our travel offering through strategic supplier partnerships and commercial negotiations. In this role, you won't just negotiate agreements; you will help secure the experiences, relationships, and commercial opportunities that enable us to deliver extraordinary journeys across Africa.

What You’ll Do

• Contract Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with hotels, lodges, transport providers, and activity operators to secure industry-leading rates, exclusive benefits, and commercial opportunities. Negotiate agreements that protect the business, create value for our guests, and ensure a seamless transition from contract negotiation through to implementation in collaboration with our Rates Team.
• Overrides & Bednights: Drive commercial performance by negotiating advantageous override agreements, bednight commitments, and value-added opportunities that maximise revenue potential and strengthen our competitive position.
• Collaboration & Alignment: Work closely with internal teams and supplier partners to ensure agreements support business goals, market demand, and exceptional guest experiences, while building trusted relationships that deliver long-term value.
• Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track and analyse supplier performance, contract profitability, and commercial outcomes, providing actionable recommendations and data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement across the business.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently based in Cape Town.
• Degree or Diploma in Tourism, Commerce, or Contracting.
• 3 to 5 years minimum working experience within a procurement, contracting, or supplier management role in a DMC environment.
• Technical Skills: Specialised knowledge and experience working with a travel Booking System, a strong analytical understanding of systems / data, and an innovative mindset to harness AI and automation for process efficiency.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills, interpersonal expertise, and the ability to confidently influence people and manage supplier / internal client relationships effectively.
