Grow, Innovate, Succeed! We have an incredible opportunity for a CLEANER PERMANENT PART TIME at Indigo Brands in Epping, Cape Town. The successful incumbent will be responsible to ensure that the production, utensils, yard, service plant machinery and changed parts are kept clean and properly sanitized.

Key Areas Of Impact

General cleaning

• To mop and clean production and service plant areas timeously when necessary.
• To clean all stainless steel when necessary - all pipe work in the production and service plant areas.
• Weekly cleaning of the machine cooling systems filters.
• Cleaning of drains in the production and blending areas.
• Water baths to be cleaned and washed down every month as required.
• Cleaning of all utensils used by production and blending.
• Daily monitoring and cleaning of outside yard areas.
• Clean and sanitize drums, utensils, and change parts vessels as required.
• Prepare and weigh off drums for manufacturers when required.
• Cleaning and sanitisation of drums to be used.
• Cleaning of production and service plant floors, walls, pipework and windows.

Ad hoc duties

• To clean machinery as directed by the Process and Raw Material Stores Controller and Production Controllers.

Safety

• Action Health and Safety (H&S) items resulting from H&S audit feedback.
• Report incidents immediately and complete incident report by close of business.

Participate in Green Areas

• Join Green Areas and WCO Hour
• Attend the pallet talk
• Attend monthly One-on-One meetings
• Suggest any ways in which working methods could be improved that will help improve productivity or quality.
• Communicate problems that may be hampering the Production process and affecting the productivity of the department.

What It Takes To Succeed

Experience that set you up for success

• 1 – 3 years’ experience within an FMCG environment

Qualifications & Certifications That Will Contribute To Your Success

• Completed Grade 12 / Matric

Additional Requirements That Will Enhance Your Impact For Success

• Knowledge on Health and Safety procedures, regulations and policies
• Knowledge on all WCO practices
• Problem solving methodologies - 5 WHY, Fish Bone and others
• Knowledge on GMP regulations and policies
