Procurement Administrator

My client, a leading chemical manufacturing company, is seeking a Procurement Administrator to manage procurement activities, supplier relationships, and inventory control, ensuring smooth operations and cost efficiency.

  • Identify, source, and manage suppliers, negotiating pricing, contracts, and payment terms to secure competitive deals

  • Place, track, and manage purchase orders, including stock receipting, matching of delivery notes, GRNs, and invoices

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels, monitor stock rotation, and ensure consumables are stored safely and efficiently

  • Support demand forecasting and long-term supply planning in collaboration with production and operations teams

  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and evaluate suppliers based on quality, reliability, and compliance

  • Conduct market research and analyse trends to make informed procurement decisions

  • Maintain accurate procurement records and provide regular reports on supplier performance, stock levels, and procurement activities

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as logistics, quality control, and production to ensure seamless operations

  • Diploma or Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management

  • 3–5 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management

Experience in chemical manufacturing highly advantageous

  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and organisational skills

  • Proficiency in Syspro (essential) and intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
