Financial Controller

SCP Radiology is creating a new Financial Controller position within our established, collaborative finance team. We are looking for a hands-on accountant who enjoys both detailed work and process improvement, ready to be a supportive team player in an ever-evolving business.

The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting, reporting, compliance, and process improvements, ensuring sound financial management across our group of companies.

More specifically

• Handling all aspects of the financial process where needed.
• Complex tax calculations.
• Exploring AI tools to enhance analysis and automate daily tasks.
• Ensuring accurate accounting records and compliance.
• Guiding junior staff and sharing knowledge.
• Developing, reviewing, and maintaining financial policies and procedures.
• Working across multiple sites to implement identified improvements.
• Overseeing and improving internal control frameworks.
• Performing financial analysis and modelling to support decision-making.
• Ensuring excellent attention to detail and data accuracy in all reports and submissions.
• Communicating effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Upholding integrity, accountability, and confidentiality in handling financial information.

• SAICA, SAIPA, or CIMA qualification and/or 7+ years of accounting experience.
• Solid understanding and application of South African tax laws.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting ERP systems.
• Experience in process improvement and documentation.
• Willingness to assist across various financial functions.

Advantageous skills

• Experience with AI tools for financial processes.
