SITE SUPERVISOR

We are looking to employ the services of a SITE SUPERVISOR

Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project (or a package), ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress.
Make sure that the building work is finished on time and to a high standard.
Organize schedules of work (plans of what should happen when); manage workers; and deal with issues such as health and safety and logistics.
He/she ensures that the workers are working in a safe way and inspects work to make sure it matches up to the drawings and client specifications and is of good quality.
Liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public.
Selecting tools and materials.
Checking and preparing site reports and drawings.
Maintaining quality control procedures.
Finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up.
Assessing and minimizing risk.
Writing reports and keeping on top of paperwork.
Helping to negotiating contracts and securing permits and licenses.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Previous experience in a structural steel fabrication environment, in a similar position, is essential.
Computer Literate, MS Word & Excel
Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015
Multitask and ability to work under pressure
Good Communication skill & bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
Good customer relations
Code 8, Drivers licence
Grade 12 or equivalent essential
Red Seal Trade qualification and/or N4 certificate in Mechanical or Civil engineering advantage.
