Millwright / Electromechanician

WE’RE HIRING: MILLWRIGHT / ELECTROMECHANICIAN

Our client is seeking a skilled and hands-on Millwright / Electromechanician to join their technical team in Westville.

This role is ideal for a mechanically and electrically minded technician who enjoys fault finding, repairs, upgrades and working independently at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:
• Attend to customer call-outs, technical faults and repair requests on site
• Conduct fault finding, repairs, servicing and upgrades on machinery and equipment
• Assist with new project research and technical problem-solving
• Complete job cards, reports and relevant paperwork accurately
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workshop environment
• Liaise with management regarding job progress, technical requirements and approvals
• Ensure all completed work is inspected and approved before invoicing
• Use initiative while working within company procedures and management approval
• Participate in a 24-hour standby roster on alternate weeks for after-hours call-outs

Minimum Requirements:
• Relevant Millwright, Electromechanician or equivalent technical qualification
• Proven experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding, repairs and maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently on customer sites
• Good communication, reporting and organisational skills
• Willingness to work standby and attend after-hours call-outs when required
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport advantageous

Salary: Negotiable based on skills and experience.
