SUMMARY

Role Summary

  • The company is seeking an Instructional Designer to design, develop, and digitise engaging learning experiences for accredited and non-accredited programmes. The successful candidate will combine instructional design expertise, curriculum development experience, Moodle proficiency, and AI fluency to create learner-centred programmes that are compliant, scalable, and aligned with modern workforce needs
  • Working closely with the Curriculum Designer, SMEs, Product Team, and Operations Team, you will transform learning requirements into high-quality blended learning solutions that prepare learners for both qualification success and workplace readiness

Key Responsibilities: Learning Design and Curriculum Development: Design and develop blended learning programmes, learning materials, assessments, and learner resources Translate qualifications, unit standards, curriculum frameworks, and business requirements into engaging learning experiences Moodle and Digital Learning: Build, configure, and maintain courses within Moodle LMS Upload and manage digital learning content, assessments, completion tracking, certificates, and learner pathways Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Use AI tools to enhance curriculum development, content creation, and instructional design workflows Review and update learning content to align with industry trends, emerging technologies, and workforce needs Collaboration: Work closely with SMEs and internal stakeholders to ensure curriculum relevance and technical accuracy Support the digitisation and enhancement of existing programmes and the development of new learning solutions Experience and Requirements: 3-5 years' experience in instructional design and curriculum development Experience developing blended learning and eLearning programmes Experience working within the SETA and/or QCTO environment Strong understanding of adult learning principles and learner-centred design Proficiency in Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline) Must be highly proficient in Moodle LMS, including course creation, assessments, reporting, learner tracking, and course administration Experience using AI tools to support research, content development, and productivity Degree or Diploma in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, Learning and Development, or a related field Competencies: Curriculum Design and Development Moodle LMS Administration Future Skills and Digital Fluency Quality and Compliance Focus Collaboration and Stakeholder Management Innovation and Continuous Learning Strong Planning and Attention to Detail What This Role Offers: Opportunity to shape future-ready learning programmes in digital, AI, and workforce development Exposure to innovative learning technologies and modern instructional design practices A collaborative environment focused on learner success, employability, and continuous innovation
