External Sales Representative - FMCG Sector (Gauteng) A leading organization in the FMCG sector is seeking a driven, energetic, and target-focused External Sales Representative to manage and grow its client base across Gauteng. The ideal candidate understands the fast-moving consumer goods environment, thrives on building strong customer relationships, and consistently delivers results. Key Responsibilities Develop and grow sales within the FMCG sector across Gauteng. Identify new business opportunities and expand market reach. Conduct regular client visits, product presentations, and store-level engagements. Manage key accounts, wholesalers, independent retailers, and distributors. Ensure product visibility, availability, and merchandising standards. Negotiate pricing, promotions, and trading terms within company guidelines. Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and sales forecasts. Track orders, deliveries, and stock levels to ensure smooth fulfillment. Monitor competitor activity and provide market intelligence. Maintain detailed call reports, pipelines, and weekly sales updates. Requirements Proven experience in FMCG external sales (wholesale/retail/independent trade advantageous). Strong understanding of route-to-market structures and the Gauteng retail landscape. Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently, manage territory planning, and meet targets.
