Purpose Of The Job
Our client a reputable passenger vehicle dealership is seeking a qualified and experienced Diagnostic / Service Technician to join their workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing vehicle servicing, diagnostics, fault-finding, repairs, and maintenance while ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and dealership standards.
This opportunity is ideal for a technically minded individual with strong diagnostic skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
POSITION INFO
Responsibilities: Perform scheduled vehicle services and preventative maintenance Conduct diagnostics and fault-finding on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems Repair and replace vehicle components in accordance with manufacturer specifications Accurately identify and resolve vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment Complete job cards, workshop reports, and related documentation accurately Conduct vehicle inspections and quality control checks Carry out road tests where required Ensure all work is completed within allocated labour times and workshop standards Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working order Adhere to dealership policies, manufacturer procedures, and health and safety regulations Participate in ongoing technical training and development programmes Requirements: Qualified Passenger Vehicle Technician (Red Seal Trade Test essential) Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience within a franchised passenger vehicle dealership Proven experience as a Diagnostic and/or Service Technician Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and workshop systems Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems Valid driver's licence Computer literate Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and problem-solving skills Motor Industry experience Essential!
