Requirements Recognised qualification in Civil Engineering (BSc / BEng / BEng Tech / Adv Dip Eng / BTech Eng). 5-8 years' postâgraduate experience in Transportation / Infrastructure Engineering. Minimum 3 years' practical experience in: Geometric design, and/or Municipal infrastructure design (roads, stormwater). Advantageous exposure to: Transport planning Civil engineering design for building projects. Preference given to candidates within 12 months of submitting their professional registration application (Pr Eng / Pr Eng Tech). Candidates registered only as Professional Technicians / Candidate Technicians will not be considered. Skills & Competencies Proficient in MS Office (Excel), AutoCAD, Civil 3D. Advantageous: Civil Designer, MS Project. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and within structured project teams. Good leadership, administrative, and reportâwriting skills. Willingness to register with ECSA (if not already). Valid, unendorsed driver's license. Key Responsibilities Support senior technologists with feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed designs for transportation and municipal infrastructure projects. Assist with tender documentation, specifications, and contract administration. Provide partâtime site supervision and construction monitoring. Produce and check technical drawings, designs, and reports in line with quality standards. Attend meetings, prepare notes and reports, and liaise with project leaders. Ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015 quality systems and project management guidelines. Contribute to professional development and progression toward ECSA registration. Professional Development & Engagement Participate in industry organisations for networking and recognition. Contribute to technical papers, research, and proposals. Support marketing and business development initiatives when required.
