SUMMARY

JOB PURPOSE

• The incumbent will support the successful implementation of the Tyefu Aloe ferox Community Project by conducting field work activities relating to wild harvesting and cultivation.
• This role involves working closely with the company Onsite Project Coordinator to ensure efficient project delivery and sustainable impact.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Basic farm experience in planting, harvesting, irrigation, and weed control
• Previous Aloe ferox farming experience will be an added advantage.
• Physical ability to do manual labour
• Willingness to work long hours at times
• Preference will be given to the applicants from Tyefu, within the 10 villages and communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Working with the Onsite Project Coordinator and other field workers Wild harvesting of Aloe Establishing 1 ha of Aloe with activities of planting, cultivation, maintenance, irrigation and fertilisation Ongoing weed removal Any other tasks assigned by the Onsite Project Coordinator As this is a community-based project implemented in Tyefu Village, preference will be given to applicants residing in Tyefu Village and surrounding communities within Ngqushwa Local Municipality.
