Procurement Administrator ( Mining / Earthmoving / Truck Parts )

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Procurement Administrator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting our procurement function by sourcing, quoting, and purchasing parts and services for our mining and heavy equipment operations.

This role is ideally suited to an individual with extensive experience in the mining industry and a strong understanding of earthmoving and heavy truck components.

Obtain quotations from suppliers and negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery terms.

Source and procure earthmoving, and truck parts in line with operational requirements.

Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders accurately and timeously.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.

Ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.

Follow up on outstanding orders and expedite urgent requirements.

Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.

Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory replenishment.

Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Liaise closely with workshop, operations, and stores personnel to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a procurement or purchasing environment.
  • Proven experience sourcing and procuring mining, earthmoving, and heavy truck parts.
  • Strong knowledge of suppliers within the mining and heavy equipment industry.
  • Experience working with OEM and aftermarket suppliers.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • High level of accuracy and strong administrative abilities.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAGE systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driver's licence will be advantageous.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within the mining, earthmoving, or heavy equipment industry is essential.
  • Knowledge of parts for brands such as Sany, CRCHI, Sunward, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Bell, Volvo, Hitachi, Liebherr, Scania, Volvo Trucks, Mercedes-Benz, and MAN will be highly advantageous.
