As part of our continued growth and transformation journey, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to partner with business leaders in driving strategic people initiatives that support organisational performance, workforce capability and sustainable business growth.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning people strategies with organisational objectives.

The successful candidate will provide expert support across workforce planning, organisational effectiveness, talent management, performance management, employee relations, change management, workforce analytics and HR governance, while supporting a positive employee relations climate within a unionised manufacturing environment.

  • Partner with business leaders to align people strategies with business objectives and operational requirements.
  • Drive workforce planning, organisational effectiveness and talent management initiatives.
  • Support succession planning, leadership development and workforce capability enhancement.
  • Facilitate and support performance management processes and a high-performance culture.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters and support labour relations initiatives within a unionised environment.
  • Support remuneration reviews, workforce cost management and workforce optimisation initiatives.
  • Lead and support organisational transformation, change management and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Utilise workforce analytics and people insights to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation, HR governance requirements and transformation objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.
  • Registration with the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) will be advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' Human Resources experience, including at least 3 years in a Human Resources Business Partner, Human Capital Consultant, HR Generalist or equivalent advisory role.
  • Experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, engineering, mining, industrial or similarly operational environment.
  • Experience working within a unionised environment, including exposure to employee relations and labour relations practices.
  • Proven experience in workforce planning, organisational effectiveness, talent management, succession planning and performance management.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, transformation and workforce optimisation initiatives.
  • Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practice.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of workforce planning, talent management, organisational effectiveness and employee relations.
  • Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR information systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management and communication skills.
