Business Analyst

Act as the bridge between legal language and product understanding, distilling legal documents into clear, neutral requirement documents that inform company-wide decision-making.
You'll bring curiosity, healthy scepticism, precision, and a deep respect for the balance between legal, technical, and business needs.
This role would suit an experienced intermediate level Business Analyst.
What you’ll be doing
- Analyse legal texts and extract relevant compliance excerpts
- Apply critical thinking to ensure actions are necessary and proportionate
- Support the Senior Business Analyst by
- Monitoring the global compliance landscape
- Contributing to the product compliance roadmap
- Reviewing new products and features for compliance impacts
- Create concise, neutral interpretation documents for internal review:
- Pair key legal excerpts with interpretations to enable traceability and input
- Work with legal and subject matter experts to refine interpretations
- Work with subject matter experts to understand current product capabilities
- Promotes collaboration that respects a balance of all business demands
- Achieve goals with the other Business Analysts, Engineers, Product Managers and Architects in particular to ensure alignment across legal, product, and engineering perspectives.
- Works closely with other BAs on integrations and other changes e.g. sales channels
- Collaborates with regulatory bodies, third parties and timelines.

This is a hybrid role with a home and office-based split, requiring regular weekly (2 days per week) attendance in the Cape Town office.
For this particular role, we are currently only considering applicants with the right to live and work in South Africa without the need for employer sponsorship.
