Supervisor (Fishing/Clothing/Outdoor)

The position is responsible for end-of-end management of the day to sales, staff management assistance and stock. This will include but not limit any activities required to ensure end-to-end management of fishing for the total subsidiary. Guide other stores on the correct procedures to follow to always ensure proper stock management.
- Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (00S).
- Report low stock well in advance to management.
- Ensure staff is trained to ensure fish tank cleaning, ordering process requirements from suppliers and customer services.
- Report any staff situations to management immediately for the necessary action.
- Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases.
- Discuss and obtain orders from suppliers to replenish merchandise as needed.
- Track shipments and address any delays.
- Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items, including tagging, boxing and labelling. Assisting staff to ensure if online orders need processing that it is send in the shortage period.
- Evaluate supplier's offers and supply feedback/recommendations to management.
- Coordinate regular inventory stock takes; cycle counts and audits.
- Liaise with other staff and other internal teams to test products' quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions).
- Ensure purchases do not exceed budget.
- Manage and coordinate stock control operations with storeroom staff, as well as the manager.
- Assist the stock controller with internal stock transfers, as well as resolving any delays.
- Maintain a steady flow of stock from storage to where it is needed in-store.
- Ensuring all the stock in-store for specified departments under your control has security tags and are always priced correctly.
- Monitoring price changes and ensuring all relevant stock is re-priced correctly.
- Provide management with purchases and prices reports.
- Ensuring all new stock is delivered and corresponds with invoice before signing. acknowledgement of receipt.
- Ensure inventory for deliveries and shipping if stock controller is not available.
- Make notes of damaged inventory and report to management.
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing and other important data.
- Create and maintain a detailed inventory list of all incoming and outgoing supplies.
- Ensuring departments are always neat, tidy and locked always.
- Supervising sale staff (consultants and if on duty baristas and cashiers).
- Performance reviews of staff.
- Proven work experience with stock control in retail specifically related to for 5 years.
- Fishing, outdoor and clothing sale experience minimum 5 years.
- Expert knowledge in cleaning of the fish tank in the shop.
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Working knowledge of inventory management software InTouch NON-NEGOTIABLE.
- Active participation in inventory audits.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Good communication and negotiation abilities.
- Supervisory experience of at least 2 years.
