Junior Accountant - Pretoria

Our client, a well-established accounting firm based in Pretoria, is looking to appoint a Junior Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is eager to build their career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in a professional environment.

• Processing of accounting transactions and maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with reconciliations, including bank and ledger accounts
• Preparing monthly accounting reports and supporting documentation
• Assisting with VAT and other statutory submissions
• Capturing invoices, payments, and journal entries
• Supporting senior accountants with audits and year-end processes
• General administrative and accounting duties as required

• Relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years’ experience in an accounting environment (advantageous)
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Pastel, Xero or similar) will be beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
