Accountant (must be able to speak Mandarin) - Pretoria

Our client, a reputable accounting firm based in Pretoria, is seeking to appoint an Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and professional individual who is confident in managing accounting functions and is able to communicate in Mandarin.

• Managing full accounting functions up to trial balance
• Processing journals, invoices, and financial transactions
• Preparing monthly management accounts and reports
• Performing reconciliations (bank, debtors, creditors and general ledger)
• Assisting with VAT, PAYE and other statutory submissions
• Supporting with audits and year-end processes
• Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders, including Mandarin-speaking clients where required
• General accounting and administrative duties as required

• Relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance
• 3–5 years’ experience in an accounting role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with accounting software such as Pastel, Xero or similar
• Must be able to speak and communicate in Mandarin
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
