Head of Human Resources to join the Vineyard Hotel team.We are looking for an experienced HR leader who will champion our values, strengthen organisational capability and support an environment where employees can thrive and deliver outstanding service.
Head of Human Resources - Newlands, Cape Town (Monthly Paid - CTC)
Reporting to the General Manager, the Head of Human Resources will lead the HR function and partner with leaders across the hotel to drive engagement, performance and organisational effectiveness.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Shape and Deliver the People Strategy – Develop and execute people strategies that support business objectives, organisational performance and a positive employee experience.
- Build Organisational Capability and Leadership Effectiveness - Strengthen leadership, talent and organisational capability to meet current and future business needs.
- Drive Service Culture and Employee Engagement - Foster a high-performance, service-driven culture that promotes employee engagement, wellbeing and alignment to the Hotel's values.
- Optimise Workforce Planning and Labour Productivity - Ensure effective workforce planning, staffing efficiency and labour productivity to support operational excellence and business performance.
- Lead Employment Equity, Governance and Compliance - Drive Employment Equity and transformation objectives while ensuring sound employee relations, governance and compliance with labour legislation.
- Deliver Effective HR Operations and Continuous Improvement - Oversee the delivery of efficient HR services, systems and processes, using data and insights to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification at NQF Level 7 or higher in Human Resources or a related field, obtained from a recognised and accredited tertiary institution.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Human Resources Management position leading an Team of HR specialists in a medium sized organisation.
- Proven experience in Employee Relations, Employment Equity, organisational development, talent management and HR operations.
- Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
- Strong business partnering, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in HR systems and the use of people data to support decision-making.
- Applicants must be a South African Citizen.
- Appointment will be subject to satisfactory criminal record, credit, qualification and reference checks.
