Purpose Of The Job

Our client a well-established commercial vehicle dealership, is seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Technician (Fuso experience) to join their workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and servicing on commercial vehicles while ensuring work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer and dealership standards.

POSITION INFO

Responsibilities: Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing on commercial vehicles Conduct diagnostics and fault-finding on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems Repair and replace defective components in accordance with manufacturer specifications Complete warranty and workshop documentation accurately Ensure repairs are completed within allocated times and quality standards Carry out road tests where required Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment Assist with technical support and guidance when required Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and dealership procedures Keep up to date with technical developments and manufacturer training requirements Requirements: Qualified Diesel Technician (Red Seal Trade Test essential) Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a Diesel Technician within a commercial vehicle dealership environment Previous experience working on FUSO commercial vehicles Essential! Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Experience with electronic diagnostic equipment and manufacturer systems Valid driver's licence (Code 14 licence advantageous) Computer literate Ability to work independently and within a team environment Good communication and problem-solving skills Key Competencies: Strong technical and diagnostic ability High attention to detail Excellent time management skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Quality-focused approach to workmanship Professional attitude and strong work ethic Customer-focused mindset Please note only candidates with the required experience will be contacted and considered.
