A well-established company in Ormonde is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to manage our full accounting, payroll, and statutory compliance functions. The successful candidate will handle everything from daily cashbooks to monthly management accounts, while also overseeing internal HR administration.

1. Full Accounting Function

* Debtors: Manage the full accounts receivable function, perform debtor reconciliations, resolve queries, and distribute monthly statements.

* Creditors: Manage the full accounts payable function, perform creditor reconciliations, and prepare monthly supplier payments.

* Cashbook & Banking: Maintain cashbooks, process daily transactions, and perform monthly bank reconciliations.

* Asset Register: Maintain and update the company’s fixed asset register.

* Financial Reporting: Prepare and issue monthly management accounts, including Income Statements, Trial Balances, and Balance Sheets.

* Treasury Management: Prepare daily cash flow reports for the CEO, manage budgets, and compile cash forecasts.

* Petty Cash: Control, reconcile, and issue petty cash.

* Year-End: Execute year-end procedures and report directly to external auditors.

2. Statutory Compliance & Taxation

* VAT: Perform accurate VAT reconciliations and submit returns via SARS eFiling.

* PAYE & UIF: Load monthly payroll taxes and UIF submissions onto SARS eFiling.

* Annual Reconciliations: Handle IRP5 reconciliations, EMP501 submissions to SARS, and issue annual IRP5 certificates.

3. HR & Payroll Function

* Payroll Processing: Run the full payroll function using Pastel Payroll, including generating and distributing payslips.

* Statutory Returns: Manage monthly PAYE, UIF, and annual submissions.

4. Office Administration & Operations

* Communication: Manage company emails and professional correspondence.

* Departmental Liaison: Interact and coordinate with different departments on a daily basis.

* Operational Support: Oversee remote cash-up procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

* Experience: 4 to 5 years of solid experience in Administration, Bookkeeping, or Full-Function Accounting.

* Software Systems: Proven proficiency in Pastel Payroll, Excel, and SARS eFiling.

* Computer Literacy: Advanced computer skills are mandatory.

* Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

* Competencies: Strong organizational skills, precise attention to detail, and excellent time management.

* Ethics: Must possess strong work ethics, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential financial data.
