Job Description,
Macsteel Fluid Control is seeking a skilled and experienced External Sales Representative to join the team in the Northern Cape region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing existing business, identifying new sales opportunities, developing customer relationships, and providing technical and commercial support to customers. The role requires a self-motivated individual with strong sales ability, sound product knowledge, and a proven track record of achieving sales and profitability targets.

Requirements,
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4–5 (Essential)
- Relevant sales, business, or technical qualification (Advantageous).
- Minimum 5 years' sales experience within the Fluid Control industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Fluid Control products and applications.
- In-depth knowledge of the Northern Cape market.
- Preferably based in Kathu, Kuruman, or surrounding areas.
- Ability to engage technically and commercially at all levels.
- Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a results-driven environment.
- Team player with strong problem-solving, planning, and decision making abilities.
- Valid Code B driver's licence.

Duties and Responsibilities,
Sales & Business Development
- Service and grow the existing customer base within the Northern Cape region.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase sales, profitability and market share.
- Achieve agreed sales and gross profit targets.
- Implement sales plans and customer engagement strategies to support business objectives.
- Promote Fluid Control products and solutions to existing and potential customers.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key decision-makers.
- Conduct regular customer visits in accordance with approved call plans.
- Provide commercial and technical support to customers.
- Resolve customer concerns and maintain high levels of customer service.
Technical & Commercial Support
- Provide technical advice on Fluid Control products and applications.
- Prepare accurate costing and quotation calculations.
- Liaise with management regarding pricing, contracts, and special pricing requirements.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements.
- Identify opportunities for growth and provide market feedback to management.
