PEROMNES POST LEVEL 10 (20-HOUR POST)

The incumbent will be responsible for the management of all undergraduate administration, office administration, as well as support to lecturers and students in the Department of Human Resource Management.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Administration and Office Management;
  • Management of tests and examination of undergraduate students
  • Providing support to the academic staff of the Human Resource Department

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 with at least four (4) years' office administration and secretarial experience; OR
  • Relevant National three-year Diploma with at least two (2) years' office administration and secretarial experience;

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES):

  • Applicable professional communication and language skills, both written and verbal;
  • Ability to work under pressure without compromising detail and accuracy;
  • Strong display of customer service acumen;
  • The ability and sophistication needed to interact with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ability to prioritise work independently and handle simultaneous assignments with success and accuracy;
  • Good administrative skills;
  • Ability to handle confidential information; and
  • Good Interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills, including basic database management and proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Suite.

ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES:

  • A relevant degree;
  • Proven work experience in office administration, preferably within a higher education academic; and
  • Experience with PeopleSoft's Human Capital Management System and Student Services Centre.
  • Experience with clickUP or other learning management systems in the tertiary education environment.
  • A driver's licence.

The annual remuneration package will be commensurate with the incumbent's level of appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines. UP subscribes to the BESTMED and UMVUZO medical aid schemes and contributes 50% of the applicable monthly premium.
