This is a 12 – month contract with our client in the banking sector.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Advanced Diploma, National 1st Degree, or BSc in Information Technology.
  • Experience: 3–6 years of experience encompassing test analysis/design, test automation, and core development.
  • Methodologies: Practical experience in Agile delivery, Continuous Delivery models, TDD, and BDD.
  • Architectural Skills: Ability to understand and interpret logical solution architecture.

Technical Requirements

  • Languages: Object-oriented programming with strong proficiency in Java.
  • Automation Frameworks: Selenium, Appium, RestAssured, and Karate.
  • API & Mobile: Toolsets for SOAP, RESTful services, and mobile test automation.
  • Non-Functional Testing (NFT): Performance, load, and vulnerability testing using tools like JMeter.
  • DevOps & Tools: Solid understanding of DevOps pipelines, Jira, and service/data virtualization.

Core Responsibilities

  • Automation Delivery: Build and maintain reusable, scalable test automation assets that ensure sprint coverage using the enterprise automation test kit.
  • Pipeline Integration: Integrate and execute automated test suites directly within DevOps pipelines.
  • Agile Collaboration: Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, sizing, and daily standups; systematically break down business needs into stories and epics.
  • Defect & Risk Management: Log defects accurately, perform root-cause analysis with stakeholders, and flag product risks to the QA Lead.
  • Team Alignment: Partner with Architects and Product Owners to meet client expectations, align with the New Way of Working (nWoW), and mentor junior Software Test Engineers.
