Junior Graphic Designer

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to support the execution of marketing and brand communications across digital, print, social media, retail, events, e-commerce, and internal communications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in design principles, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently within established brand guidelines. This role requires a proactive team player who is eager to learn, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and comfortable working in a fast-paced marketing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Creative Support

  • Create and adapt marketing collateral across digital and print platforms.
  • Design social media content, email assets, website banners, presentations, POS materials, event collateral, and promotional campaigns.
  • Resize and adapt artwork for various channels and formats.
  • Assist with campaign rollouts and seasonal launches.
  • Support the creation of visual content for retail and e-commerce platforms.
  • Prepare artwork for print production and digital distribution.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all creative outputs.

Project & Workflow Management

  • Manage assigned design tasks within agreed timelines. *
  • Work closely with the marketing team to interpret briefs and execute creative solutions.
  • Maintain organized file structures and version control.
  • Track projects and deadlines using Planner and internal project management systems.
  • Participate in team meetings and creative reviews.

Brand & Quality Control

  • Maintain high design standards and attention to detail.
  • Ensure all artwork is accurate, proofread, and production-ready.
  • Support the ongoing development and maintenance of brand assets and templates.

Required Skills & Experience

Software Proficiency (Essential):

  • Adobe Illustrator (*)

  • Figma (*)
  • Adobe Creative Cloud

Software Proficiency (Advantageous):

  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Adobe After Effects

  • Microsoft Excel (basic proficiency)

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of graphic design experience preferred.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating digital and print design work.

  • Photography retouching experience.
  • Basic video editing and social media content creation.
  • Experience designing for Meta, TikTok, and email marketing.
  • Understanding of digital-first design principles.
  • Experience working with brand guidelines.

This role is a fixed-term position based out of our Cape Town Office and reports into the Graphic Designer within our Marketing department
