Marsh has a fantastic opportunity for a P&C Broker to join our team!

Within this role you will be responsible for handling high complexity accounts. Your expertise will be crucial as you will be handling challenging renewals, ensuring optimal outcomes for both clients and the organization.

This is a full time role and you must be able to attend the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

We will rely on you to

  • Provide Broking Services.

  • Placement Broking on high complexity accounts

  • Participate in internal and client renewal strategy meetings

  • Negotiate terms with local insurers and wholesale brokers

  • Analyze and make recommendations on terms and quotes

  • Lead renewal meetings with local insurers

  • Develop relationships with insurers at a mid-management level

  • Provide advisory support to the Client Executive

  • Attend ad hoc client meetings, when requested

What you need to have

  • Proven experience in a similar role within broking (min 5 years)

  • Min - NQF level 4 completed

  • FAIS Compliant

  • Property, Casualty, CPI & PTS knowledge and experience

  • Excellent negotiating skills

  • Conversant with the coverage provided by all classes of insurance handled within Placement

  • General knowledge of specialist classes of insurance

  • Ability to broker high complexity accounts in the local insurance market

  • Basic knowledge of risk financing techniques, risk management principles, and reinsurance mechanics

  • Obtained or commenced studies towards Higher Certificate in Insurance / IISA Introductory Programme in Short Term Insurance / IISA Programme in Short Term Insurance or NQF level 5
