Our client, a growing digital transformation and Salesforce consulting business, is looking to appoint an experienced Salesforce Architect to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Salesforce professional to take ownership of architecture strategy, solution design, platform optimisation, and complex client delivery across a range of enterprise Salesforce projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce solutions while also providing technical leadership across delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Solution Architecture & Design

• Design end-to-end Salesforce solutions aligned to business and client requirements
• Define solution architecture across data models, workflows, user interfaces, automation, and integrations
• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and architecture roadmaps
• Ensure all solutions are aligned to Salesforce best practice, performance standards, and long-term maintainability

Architecture Strategy & Platform Governance

• Define and govern the Salesforce architecture strategy in line with business objectives and delivery requirements
• Establish technical standards, architecture principles, design guardrails, and governance frameworks
• Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure consistency, quality, scalability, and security across implementations
• Provide strategic input into platform evolution, solution design decisions, and technical direction

Integration & Technical Delivery

• Lead and oversee complex Salesforce integrations with enterprise and third-party systems
• Work across APIs, middleware, and connected platforms to ensure seamless interoperability
• Guide solution delivery teams on integration patterns, technical architecture, and development best practice
• Support the delivery of bespoke Salesforce builds and custom functionality where required

Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Salesforce developers and delivery teams
• Support code quality, technical reviews, architecture discussions, and best practice implementation
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, business analysts, project teams, and clients to ensure business needs are translated into practical and robust technical solutions
• Act as a trusted technical advisor across both internal and client-facing engagements

Performance, Security & Continuous Improvement

• Optimise Salesforce solutions for scalability, security, performance, and reliability
• Conduct platform, architecture, and design reviews to identify areas for improvement
• Stay up to date with Salesforce releases, product enhancements, and emerging best practice
• Recommend enhancements and improvements to existing client implementations and internal delivery capability

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience designing and implementing Salesforce architecture and custom Salesforce solutions
• Strong hands-on technical expertise in:
  • Apex
  • Visualforce
  • Lightning Components / Lightning App development
  • SOQL
• Strong experience integrating Salesforce with external and enterprise systems using:
  • REST APIs
  • SOAP APIs
  • Middleware / integration tools
• Solid understanding of:
  • Salesforce data modelling
  • Security model and access controls
  • Workflow and process automation
  • Platform optimisation and scalability
• Experience leading complex Salesforce projects and working with cross-functional technical teams
• Exposure to Salesforce DevOps practices including Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD, and automated testing
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Highly Advantageous

• Experience establishing architecture standards, governance frameworks, and technical guardrails
• Experience leading complex Lightning-based solution delivery
• Exposure to large-scale performance tuning, platform optimisation, and security reviews
• Salesforce certifications such as:
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect
  • Salesforce Certified System Architect
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or progress toward CTA
