Senior Business Analyst

My client is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join their team in Johannesburg. This is an excellent opportunity for a business-focused professional with strong analytical skills and experience within fintech, banking, or financial services environments.

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Analysis, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience

• At least 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst

• Strong experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements

• Experience creating BRS, Scope of Work documents, User Manuals, and User Journeys

• Experience working with Agile methodologies

• Proficiency with JIRA, Visio, Figma, or similar tools

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Business Analysis certification (CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar)

• Experience within fintech, banking, or financial services

• Understanding of payment systems, digital platforms, and API integrations

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements

• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and requirement-gathering sessions

• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements

• Produce business and technical documentation

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operational teams

• Support QA and UAT processes

• Assist with business process optimisation and system improvements

• Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
