TydeCo is seeking an Sales Account Executive to support the growth of our Sage Intacct Accountants Channel across the Africa & Middle East region. This is not a traditional sales role focused on cold calling or transactional software sales. Instead, this position focuses on building trusted relationships with accounting firms, understanding their business objectives, identifying opportunities for growth and operational improvement, and helping firms modernize through cloud accounting and ERP technology solutions.
As Sage's selected Master VAR and implementation partner for the Sage Intacct Accountants Channel, TydeCo works closely with accounting firms to support digital transformation initiatives, client migrations, advisory service expansion, and long-term business growth.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to accounting firms, finance leaders, and business owners, helping them understand how technology can improve efficiency, visibility, scalability, and profitability.

This position reports to the Senior Director of Growth – UKIA. This position is required to be located in the Gauteng province with ability to travel to the Cape Town office as needed. This role requires regular travel for client meetings, Sage events, roadshows, and other industry engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Global Support
- Operate within a global organization supporting clients, partners, and internal stakeholders across South Africa, Africa & Middle East, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States.
- Maintain flexibility to support meetings, events, and client engagements across multiple time zones as business needs require.
- Collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed teams to achieve organizational goals and deliver a consistent client experience.
- Support regional and global growth initiatives by sharing knowledge, best practices, and market insights.
- Facilitate seamless communication and coordination between Sales, Marketing, Consulting, ERP Delivery, Finance, Sage stakeholders, and external partners.
- Demonstrate cultural awareness and professionalism when working with diverse clients, partners, and colleagues across international markets.
Channel Development
- Develop and grow TydeCo's Sage Intacct Accountants Channel across the Africa & Middle East region.
- Support Sage channel initiatives, referrals, campaigns, executive events, roadshows, and strategic growth activities.
- Position TydeCo as the preferred implementation, onboarding, and support partner for accounting firms adopting Sage Intacct.
- Contribute to channel growth strategies that increase market awareness, partner engagement, and revenue opportunities.
Accounting Firm Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with accounting firms, outsourced finance providers, advisory firms, and finance leaders.
- Conduct consultative discovery conversations to understand firm objectives, service offerings, growth strategies, technology environments, and client migration opportunities.
- Educate firms on the value of cloud ERP solutions, automation, digital transformation, and advisory service expansion.
- Work with accounting firms to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, enhance client service offerings, and drive long-term growth through technology.
Business Development
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within assigned markets and territories.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective clients, accounting firms, and referral partners.
- Conduct outreach, networking, and relationship-building activities to support revenue growth objectives.
- Support lead generation initiatives through events, webinars, campaigns, and professional networking opportunities.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Identify, qualify, and convert opportunities for Sage Intacct software subscriptions, implementation services, managed support services, user training, and recurring service agreements.
- Develop and present commercial proposals in collaboration with Consulting and ERP Delivery teams.
- Manage opportunities throughout the full sales lifecycle, including discovery, proposal development, negotiation, close, and successful handoff to delivery teams.
- Support achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational revenue objectives.
- Maximize recurring revenue opportunities by aligning clients with appropriate support and service offerings.
Client Success
- Act as a trusted advisor by delivering a consultative and relationship-focused client experience.
- Support successful client onboarding and implementation planning through collaboration with delivery teams.
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client engagement, adoption, retention, and future growth.
Delivery Collaboration
- Partner with Consulting, ERP Delivery, Finance, Client Services, and Sales teams to support successful project outcomes.
- Ensure opportunities are transitioned with clearly documented scope, assumptions, timelines, responsibilities, risks, and success measures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align client expectations with delivery capabilities.
- Support continuous improvement of implementation packages, service offerings, and client success strategies.
Pipeline Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity stages, forecasts, and sales activity documentation.
- Track software revenue, implementation revenue, recurring support revenue, and client migration opportunities.
- Prepare pipeline updates, forecasting reports, and commercial reporting for leadership.
- Provide market intelligence regarding customer needs, competitor activity, pricing trends, implementation challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Support the continuous improvement of sales processes, qualification methodologies, proposal development, and commercial best practice
Industry & Market Engagement
- Stay informed on emerging trends within accounting, finance, ERP technology, automation, artificial intelligence, and business advisory services.
- Participate in industry networking events, webinars, conferences, trade shows, and professional development opportunities.
- Represent TydeCo and Sage Intacct professionally within the accounting and finance community.
- Share market intelligence, competitive insights, client feedback, and emerging opportunities with leadership.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations that support channel growth, client acquisition, and market expansion initiatives.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, ERP Consulting, Client Services, Finance, and Leadership teams to support business objectives.
- Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales through project delivery and client onboarding.
- Participate in internal planning meetings, sales reviews, forecasting discussions, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Support organizational growth through knowledge sharing, process improvement recommendations, and continuous collaboration.
- Maintain open communication with leadership regarding pipeline activity, client needs, risks, opportunities, and market trends
Technology & Product Knowledge
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Sage Intacct, ERP solutions, cloud accounting technologies, and related business applications.
- Remain current on product enhancements, industry developments, and emerging technologies impacting accounting firms and finance leaders.
- Communicate technical concepts in a clear, practical, and business-focused manner to clients, prospects, and partners.
- Leverage technology knowledge to position solutions that align with client goals, business requirements, and long-term success

Requirements
Qualifications
Required
- 3-5 years of accounting, advisory, finance systems, outsourced accounting, audit, client accounting, or consulting experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Financial Management, Business, or related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and business stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, problem-solving, and consultative skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
Preferred
- SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA, CGMA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Experience working within an accounting practice, outsourced accounting firm, ERP partner, consulting organization, or professional services environment.
- Experience with Sage Intacct, Sage 300, Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Dynamics, or other ERP/accounting platforms.
- Experience presenting to clients, conducting advisory discussions, or supporting technology implementations
- Experience working with business owners, accounting firm partners, CFOs, or finance leaders.
- Understanding of cloud accounting and digital transformation initiatives.

Work can take place either in an open office setting or remote setting with the expectation to travel onsite based on business and management needs. This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work a flexible and regular full-time schedule.
